I once heard a friend say this:

” Tayo na mga nagtyatyaga dito,

tayo yung mga walang ibang option…”

I let go a sigh.

But then again, I beg to disagree.

In my mind, or in my heart, this is what I know:

Hindi lahat ng nagtyatyaga eh walang option, minsan sobrang gusto mo lang talaga yung isang bagay kaya mo pinagttyagaan.

And that explains why I’m still holding on.

hold on to your dream.
not too tightly for it might break
not too loosely or it might slip away
hod on to your dream
and it will find you.

But it doesn’t mean I’ll settle for less or take everything with a smile even if things are already hitting me below the belt. That’s a different story. And a different blog post.
